In Sonar Escape, I crafted the sound effects in Cubase, using synthesis and sample-based manipulation to create immersive underwater audio cues. Within Unreal Engine, I used its spatial audio system to position ambient elements—underwater currents, distant sea creatures, and prophetic echoes—around the player, enhancing immersion and providing essential navigational cues. The mystical sonar pulses are procedurally modulated in Unreal, with frequency and intensity dynamically reacting to gameplay to reveal hidden treasures.

The music was also produced in Cubase, blending orchestral and electronic layers to capture the vastness and mystery of Aqualis. I implemented the adaptive music system using FMOD, enabling dynamic, real-time transitions that shift seamlessly from serene, exploratory themes to tense, rhythm-driven motifs, reflecting both the beauty and looming danger players experience throughout the game.
